In 2024 Vigo County Solid Waste Management District was granted a composting permit by the State of Indiana!
Starting this winter, we’ll begin accepting yard waste at our south facility located at 10970 S Sullivan Place.
Here’s how it works:
December 1 to March 1: Open by appointment only See appointment form below.
March 1 to November 1: Open every Monday and Thursday from 10 AM–2 PM, plus the first Saturday of each month (10 AM–2 PM, excluding government holidays).
Our team is excited to take this step toward reducing landfill use and creating a more sustainable future for our community. 🌍
